Bharat Stars Services Private Limited (BSSPL) is a Joint Venture Company between M/s Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), India and ST Airport Services Pte. Ltd (STARS), Singapore.

BSSPL was incorporated in the year 2007 and commenced ITP operations at Bangalore International Airport in May 2008. It has now increased footprints at different airports across India that includes major airports like Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore.

BSSPL’s business objective is to provide world class Into-plane Services (ITP), fuel farm management services and aviation solutions to the customers. The company’s success in the aviation fuelling space emanates from the relentless pursuit of excellence and the brand stands on the pillars of “Quality Control”, “Safety” and “Customer Service”.

BSSPL has been fuelling the leading domestic and international airlines for the past decade and is conscious of the exacting standards that are expected by the esteemed customers. Timely refueling and hassle-free transactions are two of the key expectations of customers and BSSPL has a well-trained team positioned across the country who works extremely hard to meet the expectation of the customers and deliver high levels of service every day of the year.

BSSPL has a clear vision and every employee is aligned to the vision through their respective roles and responsibilities. BSSPL is working to be the single stop service provider for all aviation fuel related needs, such as: solution for various aviation fuel services, safety training to external agencies and supply of aviation lubricants etc. BSSPL also provides Business Support Services such as aviation fuel management services, ITP services and trained manpower services to the other petroleum companies in India.

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL)

BPCL is an Indian public sector undertaking under the ownership of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India. It operates three refineries, 01 each located at Bina, Kochi and Mumbai.

BPCL traces its history to 1928 when the Burmah Oil Storage & Distribution Company of India was incorporated in England to enter the petroleum business in India. In 1928, Asiatic Petroleum Company (India), a joint venture of Royal Dutch, Shell and Rothschilds joined hands with Burmah Oil Company to form Burmah-Shell Oil Storage and Distributing Company of India Limited. On Jan 24, 1976, the Burmah Shell Group of Companies was taken over by the Government of India to form Bharat Refineries Limited and on Aug 01, 1977, the company was nationalized and renamed as Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL).

BPCL has a variety of product offerings like MS, HSD, LPG and CNG along with premium petrol products like Speed that guarantee a better experience for driving enthusiasts. The brand goes above and beyond these offerings to meet the needs of a modern world, and includes specialized fuel station formats like Ghar, Highway Star, Pure for Sure, and other such services that guarantee a smooth business experience.

BPCL’s aviation history is carved and etched with the glory of bygone era. As far as the story of aviation fuel in India goes, Burmah Shell, the erstwhile identity of BPCL began transporting aviation fuel with bullock carts during the early 20th century and today, BPCL has established itself in the entire value chain of aviation fuel business, from the production of jet fuel to transportation, storage and Into-plane services as per international quality standards.

It is a wholly owned 100% subsidiary of ST Logistics Pte Ltd. Headquartered in Singapore, STARS is committed to being the best service provider in aviation fuel logistics, value adding to its customers, business and operational performance. STARS core business is total aviation fuel logistics, and includes the supply of aviation fuel in bulk form, into plane refueling and management of fuel storage and hydrant systems. STARS carries out a multitude of checks and processes to ensure that the quality of fuel delivered is never compromised in providing the end-to-end aviation fuel logistics.
